Keanu Reeves Cleared in Civil Case

Source: KTLA

Actor Keanu Reeves has been cleared of all liability in a civil case brought against him by a paparazzo who claims he was injured by the actor’s car.

Jurors reached the verdict after resuming deliberations for just over an hour Monday.

The case went to the jury Friday afternoon and quickly concluded for the weekend.

Alison Silva was seeking payment for medical bills and lost wages, claiming the actor hit him with his Porsche in March 2007 while the paparazzo was shooting photos in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Jurors had to wade through conflicting accounts of the incident.

Silva said Reeves hit him with his bumper while trying to drive away, knocking him to the ground and causing an injury to his left wrist that will never heal.

Reeves insisted he never made contact and the photographer tripped himself up.

Reeves, whose screen credits include “The Matrix” trilogy, “The Lake House” and “Something’s Gotta Give,” had gone to Rancho Palos Verdes to visit his sister.

The jury of six men and six women had listened to testimony since Tuesday.

I think every one should be more responsable about how they go about there work, and if you have to get a photo of a star than get a better lens, it is stupid to stand in front of someones car or tresspass and think that there will be no problems, I like all Mr.Reeves has to offer as a film star, I have a close frind that played in Last man standing (with talking cameo) as Christopher Walken’s driver, and he tells me some time’s putzes with cameras do more damage to stars privet proppety than anything the stars do to them. Keep film’in and I will keep watch’en.

It was wise that Keenu stayed in the court room and challenged the accuser with his attorney.
The Judge has also told the poparazzo to back off.
    Good job.

have you ever considered doing a modern vampire film with Sandra Bullock along the lines of love at first bite where they fall in love and the vampire get’s the girl in the end.
