Keanu Reeves wants to sing, dance next

Keanu Reeves has built his career on tense action films like Speed, the Matrix and his latest, Street Kings.
So, for his next project he’s looking for a change of pace - by starring in a musical.
“I’d like to, yes,” Reeves told AAP.
“(I want to do) the whole shebang - singing, dancing, some romance.”
For now, though, Reeves is in Australia promoting Street Kings by director David Ayer and co-starring Forest Whitaker, Hugh Laurie and Chris Evans.
Reeves plays veteran LAPD cop Tom Ludlow who uncovers an extortion conspiracy in the police department he’s been part of all his career.
Reeves was unapologetic about the violent nature of the film, which is rated MA15+ for strong violence.
“It’s about that, it’s a gritty film in a gritty world,” he said.
The 43-year-old star said he had to do a lot of training to get into shape for the part, and admitted getting fit wasn’t as easy now as it used to be.
“I trained, I lifted some weights,” he said.
“It depends on the role - I don’t feel ageless.”
About 1,000 Sydney fans turned out on Tuesday to welcome Reeves, who called the Harbour city home for two years while he was shooting the Matrix trilogy.
Reeves signed autographs, posed for photographs and slapped high fives with the excited crowd, who filled the George Street cinema complex and lined the road outside.
He said he was enjoying his brief return to Sydney and hoped to do a film here again in the future.
“It’s great to be back,” he said.
“I had the greatest experience working here, so I hope I get to do that again.
“It’s a fantastic city.”
Reeves got the chance to catch up Tuesday with another big Hollywood star, Robert Downey Jr, who is also in town promoting his film Iron Man.
“We ran into each other this afternoon, so that was nice,” Reeves said.

In a musical huh? hmmm…. Well… he can sing, can dance, and is a very talented actor, I guess I can be alright with him in a musical- If he rips off his shirt..

I agree with Christina as I too followed Keanuweb daily and now the website is closed.
I believe Keanu can sing and dance if he applies himself as he already loves ballroom dancing and he sang a bit in “Sweet November”.
Personally, I thinks he is a humble, SHY and sweet man but because of his persona as a Hollywood hearthrob, he has to go through the motions of appearing in public and appering to be a gregarious and extrovert kind of person.
i wish him all the best and it will be my wish if i could meet Keanu in person one find day and be his friend for a day.
I feel for you Christina about the shutdown of Keanuweb … i empathised and sympathise .
i enjoyed Street Kings no matter what the critics said. Keanu gava a strong performance and he should be proud of himself. Give yourself a pat on the back, Keanu!!Does anyone agree with me??

Well, I’m not sure how polite it is to be mentioning another website dedicated to Keanu when you are on another website (this one) dedicated to Keanu. But it’s true. When I went to visit this past Sunday, there was a message from Merlin, the owner of KeanuWeb. I started to cry. Since then, I haven’t been able to eat too well, sleep. I think this is worse than if we were to hear that Keanu is married. It’s that bad. I don’t mean any disrespect for this website, because it’s a really good website, but I’m not sure where we can go to vent. I totally understand Merlin’s position, but we should have gotten a warning. Again, no disrespect, but KeanuWeb was the best, most professionally maintained, and always current. I don’t know how long it will take me to get over it. As someone who doesn’t get out much, that was part of my world. But maybe it’s not so bad. Maybe this will be the new place where I will hang out. Thanks for listening.

Hi to all keanu’s fans,
i was reading another webpage dedicated to Keanu’s fans… and there was this one person who kept saying all bad things about Keanu.. ie. he is an abuser of women and a woman batterer… I DO NOT BELIEVE that story.. do you guys belive that keanu has a dark side in real life but he manages to show a warm fuzzy side of him in public???is this for real???????

HEX NO!!!! That’s impossible!!! That’s not him!!! Haven’t you seen the way he is with his sister, his mom and fans… He is the most awesomest guy you can ever be friends with, the most breath-taking kisser you wil ever kiss(in your dreams to you keanu lovers) and well- even though his past has affected him- it’s still as if it never happened- I mean get real- do you ever expect him to be so- not him. And besides- Keanu was in a movie called”the gift” where his character beats his pshycic wife- but that’s just a movie… And who was that unsensative butthole crackhead who said that??? I’m gonna go put some wupa$$$ on ‘em!!!

You’re right, long live fans of Keanu=D I absolutley adore Him and his work, I just can’t stand people who would think of Keanu as a prettyboy with no talent, don’t they know how much he’s been through? I mean this is the only place where I can actually feel like I’m not the only one obsessed with a heart-throbing GOD.
