Jennifer Connelly will star opposite Keanu Reeves in a remake of the 1951 sci-fi film The Day the Earth Stood Still. She will portray the part of a widow and young mother who meets Reeves’s character, Klaatu, an extraterrestrial who attempts to convince mankind to live peacefully or face annihilation from other planets. Filming is due to start next year, with the director of The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Scott Derrickson, at the helm.

This is Leny again. Thanks for your email. You just don’t know how much you made me happy. I have 2 kids, and we enjoy watching Keanu’s movies. I’m so glad to hear about this latest movie The Day the Earth Stood Still. Regarding that nasty rumor, it made me really sad. I was so affected that I was telling myself, “Hey Leny! You don’t really know him, and Keanu don’t even know you. Stop it, stupid.” But have you seen that article?, it was a long detailed article, it seems so real.
